Service 01
Database Migration & U2L Modernization
Safe, proven database upgrades and Unix-to-Linux migrations based on 24 years of field experience.
We assist enterprises in migrating from aging Unix platforms to stable x86 Linux environments, upgrading Oracle databases, and adopting modern open-source engines. Through rigorous pre-migration verification and well-planned cut-over procedures, we keep service downtime to an absolute minimum.
- U2L Infrastructure TransitionSafe migration of mission-critical systems from legacy Unix (SPARC, AIX) to enterprise-ready Linux environments.
- Database Upgrades & TransitionReliable execution of Oracle version upgrades and smooth migrations to cost-effective open-source databases (PostgreSQL, MariaDB).
- Pre & Post Data VerificationThorough checks on row counts, schemas, and data consistency before and after cut-over to ensure complete data accuracy.
- Controlled Cut-Over ExecutionOff-hours and weekend transition execution with tested rollback runbooks to ensure operational continuity.
How we deliver this service
How a U2L project runs
- 01Assess
Review aging hardware, end-of-support surcharges, single-server risk and mixed DB / WEB / APP workloads.
- 02Design
A two-node active-standby database cluster, separate virtualization hosts for WEB / APP, all-flash storage and redundant SAN and 10 GbE networks.
- 03Build
Install servers, storage and switches; deploy RHEL, VMware vSphere and the high-availability stack with current patches.
- 04Migrate
Move data in phases following a cut-over runbook, converting between DBMS where needed.
- 05Verify
Our integrity engine checks every table and schema, then we benchmark performance against the old system.
